Campaign to re-open the station at Beeston

The campaign to re-open the station at Beeston serving Tarporley, Bunbury and surrounding villages was started in 2014 by Ian Priestner, the campaign is non-political and designed to reflect the opinions of the local communities.

Update: 19 August.
The bid under the Government’s Restoring Your Railway Fund to re-open the station at Beeston has been submitted and is one of 50, of which 10 will be selected, for further funding, read more here.

The bid is sponsored by our local MP so please email Ed Timpson with your support. edward.timpson.mp@parliament.uk.

Another Facebook group is also campaigning to reopen the station and at this stage of the campaign we need to work together to secure our common objective of seeing trains stop here again so please post support here too.

A petition of 1265 signatures was presented to the Eddisbury MP, Antoinette Sandbach in June 2019 find out more...

That petition is now closed and we are continuing to lobby relevant organisations.

We are now setting up a new group – Friends of Tarporley Station – details to be posted soon.

You can help by writing in support of the Campaign, find out how to do so here.
